"Cerise (SE/DK) is a new name in the scandinavian jazz scene, who are touring for the first time in Sweden and Denmark from 28 April - 12 May.

The group is a quintet that draws inspiration from modern and contemporary jazz, as well as the scandinavian jazz sound. With artistic spirit from e.g. Kathrine Windfeld, Esbjörn Svensson and Lars Jansson, the group plays both with the complex jazz harmonies and odd time signatures, as well as the completely simple and beautiful Scandinavian melodies. 

The compositions range from calm ballads, to rhythmically complex songs, and then mix it up in a sophisticated and tasteful way.
